11 Using System Identification Toolbox™ Blocks
Preparing Data
The following table summarizes the blocks you use to transfer data between
the MATLAB and Simulink environments.
After you add a block to the Simulink model, double-click the block to specify
block parameters. For an example of bringing data into a Simulink model,
see the tutorial on estimating pro cess models in the System Identication
Toolbox Getting Started G uide.
Block
Description
IDDATA Sink Export input and output signals to the M ATLAB
workspace as an
iddata object.
IDDATA Source Import iddata object from the MATLAB
workspace.
Input and output ports of the block correspond
to input a nd output signals of the data. T hese
inputs and outputs p r ovide s ignals to b locks that
are connected to this data block.
