Changes to Compiler Support
New Compiler Support
MATLAB Version 7.11 (R2010b) supports these new compilers for building MEX-files:
Microsoft Windows (64- and 32-Bit) Platforms
• Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 (10.0) Professional
• Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 (10.0) Express
Linux (64- and 32-Bit) Platforms
• GNU gcc Version 4.3.x
Compiler Support to Be Phased Out
Support for the following compilers will be discontinued in a future release, at which time
new versions will be supported. For an up-to-date list of supported compilers, see the
Supported and Compatible Compilers Web page.
Windows (64- and 32-Bit) Platforms
• Intel Visual Fortran Version 10.1
• Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 SP1
Discontinued Compiler Support
MATLAB no longer supports the following compilers:
Windows (64- and 32-Bit) Platforms
• Intel C++ Version 9.1
Linux (64- and 32-Bit) Platforms
• GNU gcc Version 4.2.3
Apple Macintosh (32-Bit) Platforms
